Chris Rutter
Previous winner of “Glasgow’s Best New Act” competition and shortlisted for the “BBC New Comedy Award” – Chris Rutter hails from the north of England but has resided in Scotland since 2014.
Chris has a strong writing ability which is delivered in a uniquely smooth, confident and relaxed style. His material is biographical, sometimes with a dark twist, and often highlights the relatable absurdities of life.
Chris regularly performs at all the top comedy clubs in Scotland and has shared the stage with several Scottish comedy greats like Kevin Bridges, Frankie Boyle and Christopher MacArthur-Boyd. He has several Glasgow International Comedy Festival (GICF) shows under his belt and is working his way up to debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at some point in the future.
Chris is a regular performer at Monkey Barrel Comedy and can be seen testing new material at Free For All and Top Banana as well as featuring on the professional Big Show compilations at weekends. He always comes away with new fans that love his intelligent, well-delivered take on life.
