THE STUDIO

The Studio is located at 51 Niddry Street, a very short walk from Barrel Bar (<2 mins).

TODAY IN THE STUDIO:

Kate Hammer: Government Approved Comedian

5PM

The Studio

One Canadian needs to make you laugh, otherwise she will be deported. Join Kate as she navigates proving herself to get a Global Talent Visa, getting dominated on Vinted, and breaking up with an identical twin. As seen on Breaking the News, BBC Scotland, Roast Battle League and Channel 4. 'A full package, all tools comedian... It is impossible not to vibe with Hammer' (Comedy.co.uk). 'Frenetic and clownishly graphic' (Chortle.co.uk).

Milo Edwards: Catamaran

5:15PM

Various

Catamaran is a show about his parents and the letters they wrote and the 1980s, in which Milo asks what remains of a human life, what's torn out, what happens if that life was surprisingly horny...

Lara Ricote: INKLING

5:40PM

MB3

You know when stuff happens to you and you react in a certain way (read: cry) so then you lean in? To know thyself? A man in a museum was mean to me (classic) and I’ve gotten a lot out of it (hell yeah). My stupidest and smartest show yet (alright!). INKLING is a show about How to Salute to the Mystery of Being Alive (ok?). Might that be of intrigue...? To you? Big kisses to you and yours. Love, Lara.

Roger O'Sullivan: Divil May Cry

5:45PM

MB2

Ambition is a mortal sin – or so Roger O’Sullivan was taught growing up in rural Ireland. But with the Irish identity trending and authenticity all the rage, in 2026, perhaps the real nepotism is being a peasant boy who can tell a few funny stories while he’s at it. We'll find out in Divil May Cry. Nominee: Best Newcomer, Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2025. Winner: Best Newcomer, Comedian's Choice Award 2025.

Andrew White: What a Life!

5:45PM

CabVol 2

An only child with two siblings, Andrew White enjoyed a precocious childhood befriending retirees and penning self-indulgent poetry, until a literal circus clown warned him of imminent death on his 18th birthday. All the jester foretold came to pass, and now Andrew must reflect on life without three close loved ones and do his best to honour their memories.

Rob Copland: ONE (more please)

5:50PM

O'Neill's (The Tron)

Once one has one, one wants more please and comedian Rob Copland is back and he's asking for more. Who else is more-ing for one more. More for me, more for you, more for whoever wants to poke their head around the corner with us. Winner: Edinburgh Comedy Awards Victoria Wood Prize 2024. Winner: Comedian's Comedian Award, Chortle Awards 2024.

Celya AB: We Must Stop Meeting Like This

6:10PM

MB1

After writing for Saturday Night Live UK and selling out shows across the UK, Celya AB returns to the Fringe. Expect 'exceptional, not to mention impressively original' (Comedy.co.uk) jokes and sharp observations from 'one of the most gifted joke writers of her age' (Chortle.co.uk). Tour support for Nick Mohammed and Sarah Keyworth.

Jenny Gorelick: SORRY

6:25PM

The Studio

Jenny Gorelick presents her flirty debut hour about bad dates and worse decisions. She’d like to pre-emptively apologize to every man she’s ever dated – or ever will – for writing about them. Directed by Ashley Rodbro. As seen on Netflix Is a Joke and in Cosmopolitan. 'Fiercely funny' and 'crush-worthy, ever charming' (Time Out).

In the Doghouse with Frankie Monroe

6:25PM

MB4

Edinburgh Comedy Award winner and Yorkshire's Biggest Bastard Frankie Monroe (Joe Kent-Walters) is up to something... something very cheeky and silly and big!

Dan Rath: Help Me Please

6:40PM

CabVol 1

You probably already know me from reading the news. In 2018, I dressed up as a sewing needle and hid inside a strawberry. There should be a French word for the moment you realize a bald dude actually has a ponytail. I'm so used to failure that success represents an existential threat.
