THE STUDIO

The Studio is located at 51 Niddry Street, a very short walk from Barrel Bar (<2 mins).

TODAY IN THE STUDIO:

Andrew White: What a Life!

5:45PM

CabVol 2

An only child with two siblings, Andrew White enjoyed a precocious childhood befriending retirees and penning self-indulgent poetry, until a literal circus clown warned him of imminent death on his 18th birthday. All the jester foretold came to pass, and now Andrew must reflect on life without three close loved ones and do his best to honour their memories.

Roger O'Sullivan: Divil May Cry

5:45PM

MB2

Ambition is a mortal sin – or so Roger O’Sullivan was taught growing up in rural Ireland. But with the Irish identity trending and authenticity all the rage, in 2026, perhaps the real nepotism is being a peasant boy who can tell a few funny stories while he’s at it. We'll find out in Divil May Cry. Nominee: Best Newcomer, Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2025. Winner: Best Newcomer, Comedian's Choice Award 2025.

ACMS Comedy Quiz (Quite Hard)

5:50PM

O'Neill's (The Tron)

Jenny Gorelick: SORRY

6:25PM

The Studio

Jenny Gorelick presents her flirty debut hour about bad dates and worse decisions. She’d like to pre-emptively apologize to every man she’s ever dated – or ever will – for writing about them. Directed by Ashley Rodbro. As seen on Netflix Is a Joke and in Cosmopolitan. 'Fiercely funny' and 'crush-worthy, ever charming' (Time Out).

Dan Rath: Help Me Please

6:40PM

CabVol 1

You probably already know me from reading the news. In 2018, I dressed up as a sewing needle and hid inside a strawberry. There should be a French word for the moment you realize a bald dude actually has a ponytail. I'm so used to failure that success represents an existential threat.

Pierre Novellie: Okay, One More Then Bedtime

7:05PM

MB3

Observational nerd comedy from Pierre Novellie before bedtime. Come and see – it might be years before he wakes up!

Jonno: Here Comes Mr Funny

7:10PM

MB2

Hello son. So you’re reading back your old man’s show blurbs, are ya? This one was for my first (and, sadly, best) show Here Comes Mr Funny way back in 2026! While I have your attention, if you find a way to travel back to the past, let’s have a same-age arm wrestle. I’d love to see who comes out on top.

Evaldas Karosas: A Very Capable Man

7:10PM

CabVol 2

Take a cynical, detached mind forged in Eastern Europe and train it in the art of Western stand-up, and you’ll find A Very Capable Man. Evaldas gives a microphone to the quiet, calculating voice in the back of your head for an uncomfortably accurate comedy hour. This is a show about the thoughts we all share, but are smart enough not to say out loud.

Katie Boyle: Irish Immigrant

7:15PM

O'Neill's (The Tron)

Irish comedian Katie Boyle brings her new personal dark comedy show. A show about being naturalized in the United States under an administration she is scared of, holding on to her Irish identity and being in a long-distance relationship with an Irish man.

Marc Jennings: If & When

7:35PM

MB1

Glaswegian comedian and Some Laugh podcast host Marc Jennings returns to the Fringe with his trademark sharp observations on current events, politics and relationships. Sold-out Edinburgh Fringe 2022-2025. 'Killer lines' (Scotsman). 'Will be a household name very soon' (Rolling Stone). 'An astute observer who is adept at channelling his frustrations into a wider social critique' (Chortle.co.uk)
